  This serpentine belt (Part# 11720-JA10B) is an OEM Nissan part. It fits a number of Nissan models. including Altima, Maxima, and Murano - ranging from 2007 up to model year 2014 in vehicles equipped with the 3.5L V6. Nissan OEM serpentine belts are made from high-grade materials that can endure the harsh conditions under the hood of a car. The tough but flexible rubber used to manufacture the belts is engineered to be strong, and long-lasting. Like all rubber automotive parts though, it is subject to the wear and tear that comes with that normal use.

  Installation

  When you are ready to start the replacement, use your camera to take an image of the routing of the belt before anything is removed. Once you have done this, proceed by releasing the tensioner with the proper tools, and remove the belt.
  

  Once the belt has been removed, take this time to inspect the engine. Look for any possible leaks or damage to the components.  Also, inspect the belt for evidence of these things or possible other issues that go beyond simple wear and tear. When everything has been inspected and all is well, go ahead and re-route the new belt through the correct path. Once this is complete, release the tensioner. After reassembly, crank the engine and allow it to come to operating temperature. Stop the engine, and inspect the belt to make sure there are no issues.
